SMG Presents
FIERY 3"S
Tennis, but not as you know it!
fIERY 3'S oRIGINS
Created just prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, Fiery 3's was tested through various trial matches at the Greenacres Tennis Club.
With successful trials complete, a new form of social tennis competition was fine tuned and ready to launch. Unfortunately, heavy covid restrictions that were imposed delayed the start of the concept we were very excited about.
Traditional formats of social competition comprising of 4 players per team (2 Male and 2 Female) were collapsing. Long nights in a time poor society just wasn't a big draw card for many, despite their love for tennis.
Fast 4 made an impact for a little while but is more used for a social hit up rather than competition.
Fiery 3's was designed to bring excitement back to tennis in a easy to manage social competition format.
WHAT IS FIERY 3'S?
The most exciting social tennis competition you will find anywhere!
Extremely adaptable and designed to provide an inclusive and diverse environment to any club. It caters for all levels and as Greenacres TC are experiencing it is extremely popular.
Fiery 3's has a simple 3 player per team format. Seasons consist of 10 rounds plus finals and seasons are themed. Fiery 3's is an entire package on and off the court and is very easy to promote and run.
Greenacres TC had a healthy 33 players for its first season and now has a maximum capacity for one night and a waiting list!
With initial licensing rights given to Greenacres TC exclusively during the development stage of Fiery 3's. SMG are excited to announce we are taking the show on the road.
case study - Greenacres dragons
With a healthy start of 33 players signing up after a fun Facebook campaign and club members excited for something new, The Dragon's have experienced strong growth with Fiery 3's.
Like with every social sport not everyone stays on each season but for every player that leaves another 1 if not 2 have come in.
Existing players have invited friends or family to join and it has got to a point there is a small waiting list due to the popularity.
The Greenacres Dragons only have 4 courts but host 48 players every Tuesday night!
Fiery 3's is the newest of competitions and has already been a finalist in the Tennis SA Awards 2021 and winner in 2022!
Fiery 3's is about to feature in an article by the Office of Sports and Recreation, not bad for a competition that is only 2 years old.
